Several areas in Tampa offer excellent walkability for real estate buyers, ranging from lively urban centers to charming historic districts. The best choice for you will depend on your budget, lifestyle, and preferences for a neighborhood's atmosphere.

Highly walkable urban and historic neighborhoods

Downtown Tampa/Channel District

: With a "very walkable" rating, this area is ideal for living without a car. The vibrant Riverwalk connects residents to major attractions like the Florida Aquarium and Amalie Arena, plus numerous restaurants and bars. You'll find primarily condominiums in this district.
Courier City-Oscawana

: Known for its eclectic mix of housing, this area has a very high walkability score. It is situated west of the University of Tampa and features shops, restaurants, and gyms, particularly along South Howard Avenue.
Historic Ybor City
